Asosiasi Pejalan Kaki Sumatera (APKS) or Sumatran Walkers Association is an institution that was born in February 2024 in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. Carrying the spirit of Stride for Nagari, this association is here to try to balance nature, culture and other potentials owned by the nagari or village with the help of the community through a simple movement, walking.

With the principle of collaborative work, Sumatran Walkers Association has a vision that is not limited to the promotion of tourism but also in involving other sectors such as culture, environment, creative economy, sports and health. Cross-sector collaboration will always be the main key to trigger a positive tourism ecosystem and culture preservation.

Walking outdoor is one of effective way to build awareness and mindfulness of keeping the environment sustainable. Sumatran Walkers Association always thriving to communicate the importance of taking care of the environment, local culture and healthy lifestyle to the society and all stakeholders.

In order to achieve the vision, Sumatran Walkers Association is open for any collaboration and positive partnership with various parties who has the concerns and commitments to develop sustainable tourism and local culture through many strategic programs.
